Having reached the present in our dreams, the reflection of our past is now with us.
Though it may seem unrecognizable, we are the only people who are really able to recognize
it. There are good reasons for us to be convinced that we are free from the addiction to
our past. We've been absorbed in our present. But it was our dreams which made us recall
the events of summer'95. The influence and the power of dreams are in - comprehensable.
Our audience have been looking forward to knowing the orign of MORZE FISH as a TV program.
Everybody realizes that it has appeared at the 34 channel, where it is currently broadcast,
not out of the blue, not out of the emptyspace, not out of nonexistense. That's why we're
going to speak about first several programs released at the Arsenal channel, f private
Izhevsk TV broadcasting company.

In the begining MORZE FISH was just a video version of the parties held at the
YU-DANCE club founded by ALEXANDER YUMINOFF. The club used to be a launching site for
those who were eager to start to cyberspace, both clubbers and musicians. Even the CHINESE
REVOLUTION (kitaiskaya revolutsiya), forgotten but still outstanding band of the so-called
first Izhevsk wave, had played a remarkable dialogue gig there.

MORZE FISH interview people currently influential in art and the way of life in
Izhevsk. Once we showed a dialogue between Sasha Yuminoff and VERA MAX, whose name hand't
become a brand name yet. While chatting, Vera was cutting Sasha's hair. In return he didn't
leave her unanswered and showed her favorite CABARET VOLTAIR video.

The purity of thoughts, the clarity of views and the simplicity of souls have
always appealed to MORZE FISH. These characterize her heroes and icons. MORZE FISH was
one greatly impressed by once of them, PLASTICA, a band of guitar explorers. Their gig
at YU-DANCE club was a staggering event. It happened in June'95. Everybody was amazed by
their psychedelic connection with the stratosphere. After the gig the guys sent frontman
SLAVA to the country to have a rest, to summon up fresh energy, to merge all together with
nature in a burst of delight. We considered this cool and stylish.

Painter MIKHAIL BASOV was the first to spoke to MORZE FISH about virtual reality.
He mainly dwelt on mutual relationships of the canvas and the computer screen, explained
how and why the painter plunges into the cyberwaves, if the exit from virtual reality is
possible, necessary and practicable. At the time we weren't able to demonstrate his
computer graphics. But he was represented as a member of the band " THE BEAUTY HAS COME"
( Krasivaya prishla ). His interview was accompained by 3 videos of the band, which also
date back to the early 90's, the period of the First Izhevsk wave.

The first resident band at the YU-DANCE was LANCER.
They played lots of gigs at
the parties. They were the first who employed acid projections on the walls to intensify
the effect of their trancey techno.

The great mystification of the 20th Century, VIRGO INTACTA, marked the second
Izhevsk wave coming with their stunning gig at the YU-DANCE on April, 1, 1995.
Their esoteric ambient techno has inspired lots of young talented local bands,
while they themselves go beyond the possible limits. They convincingly prove their freedom
from the past and are exasperated whenever somebody tries to tell about their current
existance by means of the music they played 2 years ago.
They interviews are full of meditations and contemplations rather than pure
information. Most Izhevsk musicians like to do the same, but the journalists can't
understand this.

One of the final events in the history of the YU-DANCE of that time was the
CONDOM PARTY. On a warm summer night, the symbol of the party itself and the safe love
in general was multiplied in thousands of the cheapest condoms thrown everywhere on the
danceflore. It was a part of the public action ANTI-AIDS held by the YU-DANCE. Although
the club seemed a cosy love shack for the clubbers and the condoms were like a february
snowfall, for Izhevsk it was more than extremal event. It was the ground for the city
authorities to ban the parties and close the club. But young people in Izhevsk still
don't believe this. There have been lots of rumours and gossips concerning the club's
sudden opening. Anyway the ANTI-AIDS action keeps going on. We believe that a mean joke
of Karma will punish our evil-wishers and antagonists of the safe love and the unconscious
penetrating into the reality.
